Officers arrest woman involved in Walmart gun incident

After further investigating a gun incident that took place inside Walmart in Mount Pleasant July 19, the police department has now arrested Jennifer Holly Mach, 40, of Winnsboro on two counts of deadly conduct, Class A misdemeanors. Each count carries a $5,000 bond.

Mach, who was transported to the Titus County Jail for processing and arraignment by a judge July 21, held up a gun in the store Sunday.  Mach and three others involved in the incident were each also issued a criminal trespass warning from Walmart.

During the police department’s initial investigation, it was determined that two women had an earlier argument with another woman and man.  The arguing continued at the check-out area before Mach pulled out a gun. On Monday, the department asked for the public’s help in gaining more information regarding the altercation.
