Jacky Burnham Belk -Memorial services set for Jan. 19

Jacky Burnham Belk (1944-2019)

   A memorial service for Jacky Burnham Belk, will be held Saturday, Jan. 19. 2019 at 2 p.m. at New Beginnings Baptist Church, Carpenter Street, in Daingerfield.  Mr. Belk’s family will greet friends at the church beginning at 1 p.m.

   Born October 6, 1944, Mr. Belk, known to many by Jack, died Jan. 11, 2019 in a Plano hospital at age 74. He was a 1963 graduate of Daingerfield High School.

   He is survived by his sweetheart and wife of 41 years, Carolyn Belk’ one sister, Kristi Dupriest and husband Andy of Daingerfield; three sons: Brett Belk of McKinney, Charlie Belk and wife Kelly of Daingerfield and Brandon Belk of Farmers Branch. He is also survived by two daughters, Christi Bradley and Jaclyn Owens and husband Marcus, both of Mount Pleasant; six grandchildren; Candace Wallace and husband Heath of Ft. Worth; Hallie and Parker Jenkins of Daingerfield; Lexie Elizabeth Belk of Longview; Gabriel Owens of Mount Pleasant and Jack Miller Belk of McKinney.  He is also survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews.

   Jacky also loved his brother-in-law and best friend, Glenn Mullins and wife Jerry of Jenkins; and his dear sister-in-aw, Peggy Sue White and husband Shane of Daingerfield and his very own personal favorite nurse, Teri Presley of Naples.  He also had three boys he liked to call his very own, Milton Lomas and wife Katie, Edgar Lomas and Ty Lomas all of Long Beach, California.

   He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Junie Flemister Davis.  His parents, Bryson Belk and Kathryn Fizer; one sister, Linda June Belk and one brother Damon Edward Belk.
