Four arrested on drug possession charges in Titus County

The Titus County Sheriff’s Office, along with the TCSO Emergency Response Team, conducted a search of a residence Feb. 28 located on the 1600 Block of Boatman Avenue in Mount Pleasant. Narcotics investigators were notified that illegal narcotics were being distributed from the residence and launched an investigation. After establishing sufficient probable cause indicating the illegal drug activity was ongoing, an application for a search warrant was issued by the 76th District Court Judge for a search of the premises.

Four adults were present when the deputies entered the residence including Gregory Jerome McCoo, 32, Taboris Kerrelle Edney, 26, Andre Pierre Edney, 37 and Dekemus Charles Farrier , 39, were detained and subsequently arrested. Farrier is a resident of the home being searched and the other three men were all shown to be residents in Titus County.

During the search of both the residence and vehicles found on the premises, suspected marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine were found. All four subjects were arrested for the second-degree felony offense of possession of a controlled substance penalty Group 1 over four grams and under 200 grams. McCoo was also arrested on a class C misdemeanor capias related to a failure to appear. The four were booked into the Titus County Jail.
